SUMMARY:Spiritual Sisterhood & Love Between Women in Tantra
DESCRIPTION:Love between women takes many forms – and we can love each other as friends\, sisters\, mothers\, daughters\, lovers etc. The feminine nature has a spontaneous tendency to unite\, and in a society or group\, the loving relations between women helps immensely to create a harmonious unity in the entire group\, while the polar love between men and women\, or the brotherly love between men plays a different role. \nProbably all women have experienced how easily we can assimilate qualities and perspectives from other women\, the nourishing support so specific to the feminine nature. But have we understood its spiritual meaning and significance and have we dared to dive into the erotic potential and aspects of our relationship with the feminine as well? In this taboo-breaking evening we wish to shed some light on this commonly misunderstood and rarely openly discussed topic of tantric love between women. \nIn this event we aim to look at the importance of sisterhood\, love and support between women from the tantric perspective. We will look at the theoretical notions of the wheel of energies and the importance of spiritual sisterhood from a micro- and macrocosmic perspective. We will also go through different ancient tantric scriptures that uncover some revealing aspects regarding the role of erotic love between women (e.g. Ramayana\, Kama-Sutra\, Krishna and the Gopis) and see how the connection between women can be very intimate\, nurturing and even healing. \nWe will then share our personal stories as sisters\, friends and lovers and all the lessons it has taught us so far. Apart from all the stories and scriptures\, we will also invite all the women to join us for some beautiful and sublime guided exercises. This evening is for all women who wish to explore their relationship with Shakti\, within themselves and with all their spiritual sisters in order to become more free\, happy and united. \nTeachers: Kamilla Holm & Iris Smeets
