Is there room for God on the yogamat?
All of us, in one way or another, are in search of God, even without knowing it.
Some are searching for a better life, others are searching for happiness, some are searching for love and a few are consciously searching for the truth and asking themselves “Who am I?”
The reality of God is not a matter of belief, but of experience.
In the yogic tradition it is said that God is both transcendent and immanent, both beyond normal comprehension and at the same time right here, so close, present everywhere.
What we call God is a reality which transcends the mind, it goes beyond thoughts, beyond concepts, and yet it is deeply intimate because we all have a spark of divinity within us.
This reality has been called by various names in many spiritual traditions, God, The Supreme Consciousness, The Absolute, Shiva, Allah, Elohim.
In YOGA the reality of the human being is deeply mysterious, and the highest aim of yoga is to gain direct, immediate knowledge of the truth about who we are, and the nature of consciousness and existence itself. With other words, to know God.
The yogic journey of self realisation is taking us from Ahamkara (the ego) to Jivatman (the soul) to Atman (The Supreme Self) and eventually to attaining the ultimate spiritual realisation, where the supreme individual essence ATMAN merges with the Supreme Consciousness PARATMAN, or BRAHMAN (GOD).
The great wise Shankara states in his work VIVEKA CHUDAMANI that: “The error of identifying ATMAN with non ATMAN is the cause of man’s birth and rebirth. This false identification is done by the mind”.
No matter the paths enforced by YOGA, they all lead to the same unique target: the Supreme.
“I looked in temples, churches and mosques.
But I found the Divine within my heart”

Getting Personal with God
You start cultivating a personal relationship with God in the moment when you discover the need for such a relationship.
Few people know that evolution by means of love is the fastest way.
In fact, love is but a way that the human being is given in order to get closer to God, but also a swift way to get aware of the divine reality.
For, we are living on earth particularly in order to fully express love towards whoever may deserve this and mostly towards God.
Love is the simplest way to live one’s life.
Love is what makes people look for their match and fulfil their dreams. It engenders the mysterious longing for self knowledge.
When you love you should not say, “God is in my heart,” but rather, “I am in the heart of God.”
The retreat takes place in Paradise Retreatcenter in the quiet village of Store Torøje.
Paradise is housed in an old farmhouse complex, which has been converted into teaching halls including the impressive 450m2 Valhalla (possibly the largest yoga hall in Denmark!), library, dormitories and cosy dining hall.
The retreatcenter has several beautiful garden areas where you can go for a quiet walk and a meditation in nature.
The gardens are beautiful in all seasons and have a uniquely rich variety of plants and vegetation gathered from all over Denmark as well as a small lake full of fish and complete with a miniature island.
In the garden you will also find two large wooden and wood-furnaced hot tubs,
Paradise is lovingly taken care of by a team of dedicated yogis, who do everything from cooking the delicious vegetarian food to maintaining the specially cultivated Nordic gardens, digging in the hot sun for weeks to build the new lake and painting a whole fleet of bicycles red that guests visiting Paradise can freely use to explore the surrounding countryside and to go relax on the beach.
Paradise is 100% vegetarian, 100% no smoking and no drugs, 100% great atmosphere.
In addition to being 100% vegetarian, the food is also mostly organic and spiced up with home grown herbs and lots of love!
Sacred Ritual of communion with God.
A ritual is a way to make sacredness accessible, to uplift the spirit into an expanded state of awareness and to amplify the effects of certain actions and exercises.
In the camp two daily meditations will take place in unison, which are supported by an extraordinary subtle field.
Based on the law of resonance, tuning in to these meditations allow you to experience more easily and more deeply the spiritual states that are exemplified, thus being able to evoke them later and to experience them in your everyday life.
There will be optional trips to local highlights:
The spiral tower in the forest
(entry fee 150 dkk per person)
For thousands of years cacao has been considered as a sacred plan.
One of the main active ingredients in cacao is Anandamide, a neurotransmitter produced in the brain that binds to the THC receptors. It’s also known as the “bliss molecule” (named after “ananda”, the Sanskrit word for “bliss.”)
Cacao also contains Theobromine. Theo-broma literally translates as God-Food, and potentiates the release of dopamine, the ‘pleasure’ hormone. This, alongside phenethylamine, which is known to help relieve stress and depression and which is released in the body during emotional euphoria, create heightened sensation and empathy.
Due to the euphoria inducing ingredients, the emotional impact can be profound. Everything feels heightened within the physical and emotional body, including your awareness to your deepest sense of self and to your heart. The increased sense of connection and uplifting euphoria facilitates access to expanded states of consciousness, as such it can be used for meditation and contemplation.
Artistic moments – a manifestation of the soul.
For most people the spirit is locked away, hidden under mental agitation and repetitive daily tasks. But from time to time we catch a glimpse, we see the breathtaking beauty of the sunrise, we feel the awe inspiring amazement at a sudden revelation, we feel that there is something more, somewhere, somehow, there is so much to be discovered.
In this camp everyone will have the opportunity to express themselves, individually or in a group, through theater, dance, singing, humor or other artistic expressions.
Every day will start with a Hatha Yoga session including the deep yogic relaxation.
Hatha Yoga prepares our body and energetic system for a new day. It’s a wonderful way to regenerate and recharge our batteries. One of the “secret” effects of yoga is that we learn how to be relaxed and focused – at the same time!
About God by Gregorian Bivolaru
God is the eternally supreme, all-encompassing, unique and mysterious consciousness, the infinite totality which is embracing and in the same time transcending the entire manifestation and the 3 worlds (physical material, astral and causal).
In eternity, God is the principle of existence, the source of all life. While in the cycle of time everything starts and everything ends, only the supreme consciousness is eternal, existing not only in the highest places, churches and temples, but is present everywhere.
In His mysterious nature, God is pure spirit. The Absolute Spirit, which brought light into the darkness, which caused order to appear in chaos.
The whole manifestation, the entire Creation, is a gigantic game that God is ceaselessly playing.
Since God transcends all creation, he can be known only by the mysterious Self revelation.
At the same time God manifests as a mysterious personal being, characterised by a nature that is divine, both in transcendence and in immanence.
It can not be said that there are certain mental and moral qualities of God as we say about the human character. God is always infinitely higher than the sum of all His attributes.
We should treat each of God’s attributes as a manifestation of Him in the human situation that made it visible.
Compassion in the presence of misfortune, consequent patience in the presence of evil, mercy in the presence of guilt, love and help in the presence of the loving return towards God.
All these suggest that the attributes of God also designate a complex, mysterious relationship that He starts with the human beings who feel they need God in their life.
All this undoubtedly expresses the truth that God is present in each of His attributes, so that a certain Godly attribute is not greater than another. God is no more love than righteousness or more compassion than innocence.
“In His mysterious nature, God is pure spirit”
